Underberg Country Club
The golf course at the Underberg Country Club is a picturesque 9 hole course, with 18 tees each for men and ladies, and dual pin positions on several of the large, manicured greens. The stunning mountain views and the friendly and welcoming nature of the members make it a wonderful golfing experience for seasoned players and beginners alike.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Southern Drakensberg mountains, this par 70, 6700 metre course can be challenging, especially in the summer months when the fairways are lush. However, a recent improvement to the layout has been the introduction of "forward" tees for the shorter hitters.
The club hosts two classic tournaments each year, the Autumn Classic in May, and the Spring Classic in September. These popular tournaments attract 80 to 100 players from around KZN, and there are plenty of shops and places of interest in the area for non-playing partners.
Regular weekly tournaments are played on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and visitors are welcome. Golf carts can be hired from the club - contact Malcolm on +27 33 701 1130.
